| Rakeback Guarantees | | Your safety comes first at Bonusgarten |
Over the last few years, there have been some minor and major scandals in online Poker. From rooms closing, to superusers, to sites becoming completely unreachable and no longer paying out.
While these problems are relatively rare, and your risk as an online Poker player is small, we think it's important you know who you're dealing with and you know what you're getting. After a few setbacks recently (in late 2009), it is obvious that clarity and transparency is important in this industry, which is why we are now publishing this info.
On each Rakeback deal page you will now find info about the Rakeback Guarantee. Here's how it works:
| If your rakeback is 'fully guaranteed' at a particular site, that means that we will fully pay out your rakeback out of pocket if the site fails to pay you. At sites where we pay the rakeback ourselves, we will pay you even if we receive no commission whatsoever.
If your rakeback is guaranteed for a certain percentage, only that percentage of your rake will be paid out as compensation. This often applies if there are two or more parts to a loyalty deal, in which case we may only guarantee the basic percentage.
If your rakeback is guaranteed up to a certain maximum, rakeback owed over that amount may not be compensated.
Not all deals carry a rakeback guarantee. At sites with a low or no rakeback guarantee, please consider alternative options. Only take deals without guarantees if you are willing to take the risk of non-payment of rakeback.
The guarantees will not apply in 'extreme' cases, such as an entire network failing or governments / authorities targeting poker rooms.
In all cases, once we find out about a site not paying out, the guarantee will not apply to rake generated after that time and you will of course be notified. We may advise you to withdraw your bankroll at this point, if we believe the site has become unsafe. Please note that we will never cover balances kept on the Poker account, only the rakeback or loyalty payment. You will receive any amount owed fairly quickly, but you may not receive any rakeback for play after the end of the guarantee.
For that reason, it is important that you let us know immediately if rakeback is not being paid. If we are not notified within 30 days of the non-payment, we will not be able to uphold the guarantee. We may, however, decide to partially compensate you if the situation warrants it. For sites that pay rakeback daily or weekly, this period may be shorter.
